Bullying and Abusive Behaviour

27 March 2019

Swimming Tasmania is committed to the health, safety and general wellbeing of everyone involved in the sport of swimming. In particular, we do not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination, bullying or victimisation.

We would like to remind all clubs, coaches and swimmers of the requirements of the National Integrity Framework and the collective responsibility to:

- provide a safe environment for everyone involved in our sport;
- take an inclusive approach in their activities;
- foster an inclusive environment for people from culturally diverse backgrounds;
- ensure the safety and wellbeing of people who are vulnerable in society, such as those with a disability; and
- ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

Failure to comply with the National Integrity Framework may be considered a breach of the Framework and result in disciplinary action.

All clubs, coaches and swimmers should be aware of their responsibilities under the National Integrity Framework and ensure that their behaviour reflects the principles and requirements set out in it. You can find  the Swimming National Integrity Framework here.
