Important Information for State Championships 7-11 March

05 March 2019

A few important things to note for the upcoming championships:

Live Results: Please click here for live results.

Events with 8 or Less Swimmers: Please note that events with 8 or less swimmers will be swum during the evening session. Please check the program to see if you fall within this category.

Car Park: The DKHAC overflow carpark will be open from 8am Friday the 8th March until Monday the 11th for competitors and spectators to use.

Merchandise: Championship t-shirts ($35) and hoodies ($60) will be available for sale at the change room end of the pool.

Food Options: In addition to the DKHAC cafeteria, we will have The LIttle Mr Potato Head on site on Friday and Saturday, and Taco Taco on Sunday and Monday. The vans will be located near the entry doors on Aberdeen Street. In addition, Tom Dick & Coffee will be set up on the upper deck inside the pool from 7:30am each morning from Friday onwards.

Water Bottles: A reminder to all timekeepers to bring their own water bottles, and to officials to bring their Swimming Tas water bottles to the meet. Water will be supplied in jugs throughout the venue and in the bubbler. Please make contact with one of our friendly staff if you need help filling bottles while you are officiating.

Alex Gadomski Fundraiser:  A reminder that Friday evening is our "purple session" where we will be raising money for the Alex Gadomski Fellowship, in conjunction with Maddie Riewoldt's Vision, to be used for research into Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes. Please wear purple and make a contribution to this great cause.

Parent Information Session: Thanks to everyone who registered for the Parent Information Session with Wayne Lawes on Sunday morning. This session is now full. If you would like to go onto a waitlist, please contact Maddi (maddi.palser@swimming.org.au).

Warm Up/Cool Down: All swimmers warming up and cooling down in the dive pool MUST enter from the control room end of the pool, NOT the marshalling end. Please remember that this pool is feet first entry and no diving. Swimmers should not congregate at the end of the pool to chat and are not permitted to play in the dive pool or the 25m pool.

Seat Allocations: Please note that only swimmers, team leaders and coaches are permitted to sit in the areas allocated to clubs. All parents and supporters should sit in the areas allocated for spectators, and parents are not permitted in the marshalling area or in the vicinity of the dive pool unless they are rostered on for marshalling duties. We would ask swimmers to please store their bags under the seats, not on the seats.
