Parents & Volunteers

Volunteers in swimming

Parents and volunteers play an extremely important role in the contribution, support and development of athletes, clubs, coaching and officiating within swimming in Tasmania.

Parents and volunteers can get involved in swimming in a number of different ways, from helping clubs with the Friday night BBQ, hosting social activities, fundraising, acting as Team Leader for competitions, or joining the club committee. Talk to you Club President and Secretary about how you can help.

Officiating is another great way to not only support the sport but also see the action up close! You can help out as a time keeper or start learning the roles and responsibilities of the different parts of officiating. It's a fun and engaging way to get involved and support swimming, and there are lots of helpful people that will be willing to help you learn. Check out the Officiating part of our website for further details.
